What I don’t like about AI

My perspective is that AI generated content is soul less because it’s generated from what others have said on a topic and has no heart resonance or coherence with my work.

I have had other hesitations about AI yet didn’t intuit what they were, although more and more are being revealed to me.

One that hits hard is a lack of consent or agreement.

You may have experienced copycats lifting your content from your website or promos which is a deception and frankly theft!

BUT that was on a small scale compared to what AI can do.

If you have been to University, you would know that essays and assignments are mostly passed through a plagiarism checker before submission because of the gravity of passing off someone else’s work as yours.

You have to cite references in these cases however with AI even if the author is mentioned there’s no guarantees.

Original content published on your website and socials will be low hanging fruit for wholesale plagiarism accelerated by those who are using AI to generate their content.

All this without your express consent or agreement for how your work is referenced.

However the problem with AI extends beyond your publicly accessible content to your intellectual property (IP) when you teach online.

Shadow side of AI for live events

How would you feel about someone accessing all the content from your live events on Zoom without your knowledge, consent or formal agreement?

This applies to anything you teach live like courses, programs, workshops, masterclasses and webinars.

In the world before AI, it would have been considered a breach of copyright depending on your intellectual property clauses.

Did you know that if you use Zoom live for delivering your content that your intellectual property is at risk?

Anyone invited to your live call on Zoom can join via an AI transcription service and they will receive all your content as notes, direct to their email address.

I find the lack of disclosure unacceptable and really frustrated that there is no request on you as a host to choose if they can join or not.

What about accessibility for those with learning difficulties?

As the Zoom host there are two ways you can provide notes to your attendees however you are doing that on your terms and in the way you choose.

Turn on AI summary to receive the notes to your registered email

Enable Smart Recording with AI companion

However I don’t want to feed the AI system

So my preferred method is to create in-depth Workbooks that are step-by-step implementation to accompany my Tutorials and replays for most live events so people can Play, Pause, Do.
